My name is Maria Catalina,
I am the founder of Mindfulness Patagonia, a project that intends to promote a lifestyle that is more conscious, compassionate and in tune with our nature. Before arriving in Patagonia, I lived in Europe, (Ireland) where I had the opportunity to train and specialize in the area of intervention and prevention of children’s mental health.
For more than ten years, I worked as an Accredited Play Therapist and Family Support Worker, working in different agencies of the Irish community: charity organizations, family violence centers, addiction centers, schools, Psychology & Counseling centers, amongst others.
I also worked as a coordinator on family reunification projects through engaging with family court and child abuse services.
Over the years I approached contemplative practices and trained as an instructor in different programs such as: Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction Teacher Foundation course (1st level), Instructor for adults F. Columbia, Creative Mindfulness program, Calm Kids, and Mindfulness Rooted Ecotherapy (MRE).
TODAY.
I enjoy sharing my knowledge through different personalized services, workshops, trainings and experiences in nature.
In my free time I support different NGOs that work with children in vulnerable situations or that contribute their work in the environmental area and write children’s stories.
